Overview
The Waves collection for Milla&Milli is defined by carved surface treatment that turns each piece of furniture into moving landscape of light and shadow. Parallel grooves across wood create hypnotic visual rhythm that invites closer inspection and quiet, almost meditative pause in the space.

Brief
Milla&Milli sought collection clearly expressing their woodworking expertise through distinctive, tactile surface language. The aim was to create furniture that feels both luxurious and emotionally resonant, capable of standing as statement piece while still functioning seamlessly in everyday interiors.

Approach
The Waves drinks cabinet is the anchor of the series, made unique by waves carved into wooden surface, where continuous parallel lines generate rich play of light and shadow. The motif suggests multiple associations—deep water waves, furrows of fertile soil, and raked patterns of Zen gardens—encouraging each user to project their own reading onto the piece. The collection extends carved surface treatment to dining and coffee tables as well as sideboards, establishing coherent family.
