Maša Vukmanović Studio, named after our founder and creative director, Maša Vukmanović, is a powerhouse of creative thought and action. With over 20 years in the industry and a diverse range of expertise, we persistently push the limits of our creativity.

Founded in Zagreb in 2005. 
For the last 20 years we designed furniture, products, and spatial concepts for manufacturers and brands across Europe.

An independent practice 
We work with clients from brief through production, bringing together creative direction, material knowledge, and an understanding of what it actually takes to make something well.

Work happens as a dialogue 
Dialogue between designer and maker, between material and form, between creative ambition and manufacturing reality. 

We think in systems 
How a chair belongs to a family, how a collection speaks to a brand, how a product line anchors an interior – all valuable to manufacturers trying to building consistent, long-lived ranges.

Inverting expectations 
A cabinet that balances on a single leg. A backrest that dissolves into two lines. A door that reads as carved topography. Courage makes the difference between a product that is noticed and one that is remembered. 

Drawing from natural forms and textures 
Translating organic patterns (bark, waves, petals, contour lines) into contemporary furniture language while staying pragmatic about tooling, materials, and timelines. 

Honest to material 
Honesty runs through our work: wood grain revealed, metal fabrication precision, craftsmanship legible in every joint and surface.

Design Approach

Material-Driven 
Every material has its own logic — how it wants to be cut, joined, finished, and lived with. We work with materials rather than against them, finding design solutions that express rather than hide their inherent properties.

Story-generating
Each of our products tells a story, on its own, as a statement piece, or as a part of a collection. Stories stem from the idea, material, specific requirements of a piece, but they all do the same — inspire emotion, and invite ideas.

Production-Conscious
Beautiful concepts that can’t be built remain just concepts. Every design considers tooling, assembly, cost, and timeline from the earliest sketches, ensuring that final pieces can be manufactured efficiently without compromising quality.

System Thinking
Individual pieces rarely exist in isolation. We design with awareness of how products relate to each other, how collections tell brand stories, and how furniture families create coherent interior landscapes.

User-Centered
Furniture serves people — how it feels to touch, how it supports the body, how it ages over time. Ergonomics, durability, and everyday usability are as important as visual impact.
